Sequential Art is an art
form that
uses images deployed in sequence
for graphic storytelling or to convey
information. The best known examples
of sequential art include comic strips,
comic books, graphic novels,
children's storybooks,
animation & storyboarding.
• Cartoonist
Jason Loo will teach
students the art of story-telling
through
the medium
of the comic book.
Students will develop characters for
their own
story, and receive
instruction
on
all the
necessary stages
that form a
comic
book. Those stages
include
Creative Writing, Script Work,
Thumbnail Layouts, Penciling
&
Inking a Page
and Cover Design.
• Each week, Jason will go through a
tutorial and have students work
on their
own 6-page
comic book.
He will also give weekly one-on-one art
direction discussions to ensure each
student will produce a solid
comic product.

Since childhood,
Jason's creative
life
revolves around his
passion &
enthusiasm
for the sequential
arts!
His
energy and
excitement
is
contagious
when he reads,
speaks,
creates &
instructs
about
this
wonderful,
primordial art
form
that's
been around
since people
first
started
painting on
the
walls
of caves!
